This is a promo piece for a new "reality" pilot I did with my friends Tom and Joel. I'm not usually big on most reality TV or particularly knowledgeable (well, until now) about the world of high-end hairstyling, but this was a really interesting project because we basically built it, in 44 and 22-minute versions, from the ground up working through over 500 hours of raw footage. No interviews, no confessionals, no interference from the producers, no narration at all; just the real drama (with a lot of dramatic tweaking from the magic of editing) of fresh young assistant stylists trying to make it in California's top salon with it's big money, big egos, and cutthroat competition. In case it isn't obvious, this is the hardest kind of show to pull off!

But the response so far as been overwhelmingly positive, so it seems we've made a pretty good one. Keep your fingers crossed that a deal is in the works.
