Some engaging news...

Last weekend was mother's day and on Sunday I was trying to reach home as the whole family was together for brunch. My surprise came when I finally reached my sister at the dinner and learned that there was more big news. The night before, she had gotten engaged. I was in shock at first, and sad that I could not be there with the families to celebrate; but I am so happy for the two of them. It is still a little strange to think that my little sister is going to be getting married, but at the same time, it could not be to a better guy. He proposed in the rolling hills of Litchfield County at a small lakeside retreat called The Boulders after a day at the spa and hiking and relaxing by the lake. My sister says that it could not have been any more perfect. Congratulations guys!!!!

It has been a busy two weeks since I returned from New Orleans; but it is great to be home. The coming week is going to finally provide a few days off, and a chance to get back into the woodshop. This weekened, I bottled the Casa Wine's sophomore series with the addition of a Summer Peach and a Cabernet that I named after the film since it was started the day I got the movie, and is almost done as we are finishing. Just a few more months, as it now needs time to settle and mature in the bottle, and we will be ready for some tasting.

More to come next week after the third annual Casa Memorial Day Celebration. Hope to see everyone there!

I Like to Pinch

Somebody got stoned and created a commercial (for the Honda Element?!) that just might be a work of genius. It had many under this roof laughing our asses off for a good chunk of weekend recently, and yes, we did have other things to do, thank you. A must watch.

Maybe little pinch?
